Pack your picnic, grab your blanket, and chill your favorite beverages, it's time for Courtyard Concerts at Glessner House. Are you ready for a new gathering spot for an evening of fun with neighbors and friends, laughter, and music? The beautiful private courtyard is the perfect setting to enjoy some great local music and relax while dining al fresco on the lawn.
Our second concert will feature Chicago's 18th Street Jazz Quartet, which entertains audiences with a broad selection of jazz standards from the great American songbook tradition. Vocalist Suneetha Vaitheswaran, guitarist Paul DiLorenzo, bassist Oren Sreebny, and drummer Brian Koch imbue their performances with a spirit of fun and warmth. “We try to keep the playing spontaneous - we don’t know where a song will take us, and we want to bring the audience along on the adventure”, says Sreebny.
Whether it’s classic swing, bossa nova, or putting a rhumba beat to an old Tin Pan Alley classic, the 18th Street Jazz Quartet will put a smile on your face and a bounce in your step!
Doors open at 5:30pm, concert begins at 6:00pm.
