This Chateauesque style mansion at 1801 S. Prairie Avenue in Chicago was built for William W. Kimball, founder of the Kimball Piano and Organ Company. It was completed in 1892 from designs by architect Solon S. Beman, and is loosely based on the Chateau de Josselin in Normandy, France. This watercolor portrait of the house was painted by Chicago artist Jack Simmerling in 1994. It now serves as the headquarters of the U.S. Soccer Federation.
