Accessible Ramp Project

Our newest building project, launched in 2025, will provide an ADA compliant ramp off of 18th Street into the Visitors Center, which serves as the primary program space in the house, and also provides direct access to the courtyard.

The interior ramp is designed to minimize the visual impact on the exterior of the landmark building and also provides advantages of maintenance and use by our many guests.

The total project cost, from design through construction, is $239,810, of which $72,540 has been raised to date. Funding includes a $5,000 grant from the National Trust Preservation Fund and a $22,000 gift from Texas Instruments.
