This 1881 trade card promotes the Farmers’ Review, a weekly newspaper published in Chicago, starting in 1877. It contained news regarding agriculture and livestock production. Trade cards such as this often depicted scenes that made them popular with children but had nothing to do with the product they were promoting. The card is pasted into a scrapbook assembled by George and Fanny Glessner.
