FREE EVENT!

Join us on the 1800 block of South Prairie Avenue for a spectacular exhibit of nearly a dozen vintage automobiles all dating to 1936 or earlier (the lifetime of the Glessners). Organized by the Greater Illinois Region Classic Car Club of America, the show will include two Pierce Arrows (the Glessners’ automobile of choice), a 1933 Buick from Marshall Field & Company, and much more!

Free mini-tours of Glessner House will be provided during the event, and the nearby landmark Second Presbyterian Church will also be open for free tours from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Attendees will receive a list of selected buildings along “Motor Row” on South Michigan Avenue to explore on their own. This landmark district was home to more than one hundred automobile showrooms in the first decades of the twentieth century.
